Merseyside Police issues statement about an incident in St Helens
MERSEYSIDE Police have confirmed that emergency services attended an incident that took place, around:- 11.30 pm, on:- Friday, 6 March 2026, within:- St Helens.
We are told by Merseyside Police, that one of it's patrols sighted an uninsured and unregistered Yamaha motorcycle in the area of:- Gaskell Street, St Helens. We are told that this biker then failed to stop when signalled to do so, and made off. A short pursuit then ensued and the bike was reportedly involved in a collision with a parked car, on:- Baxters Lane, St Helens. The rider, who was a male in his 30s, was taken to Hospital by Ambulance for assessment of serious injuries. In the statement issued, Merseyside Police have said:- "Due to the circumstances, a mandatory referral will be made to the IOPC. Enquiries remain ongoing, including dashcam and CCTV.
