CASES of measles are on the rise in Merseyside. Measles is a highly infectious disease that makes most people who catch it very unwell. The MMR vaccination provides the very best protection from measles for children and adults. This push follows on from the tragic death of a child at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool after contracting the highly contagious illness. The MMR vaccinations are available and accessible to all Sefton residents from a range of services and locations. More information about the MMR vaccine is available here..
Children and adults of any age can contact their GP to have a free MMR vaccination!
Also, The Living Well Bus will be offering MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) and other vaccinations at the following locations:-
Friday, 18 July - 10.30 am - 4 pm - Netherton Activity Centre Glovers Lane, Netherton, Bootle, L30 3TL
Tuesday, 22 July - 10.30 am - 4 pm - 26-28 Chapel Street, Southport PR8 1AL
Thursday, 24 July - 10.30 am - 4 pm - Asda Bootle, 81 Strand Road, Bootle, L20 4BB
Saturday, 2 August - 10.30 am - 4 pm - venue to be confirmed.
No appointments are needed.

Holiday clinics are also available. There will be clinics over the summer holidays for any Primary and Secondary school children who have missed an MMR (or any other vaccination for Secondary School children only). These will be on:-
