Liverpool John Moores University wins Business School of the Year at Educate North Awards
THE event is known as the:- 'North’s Most Prestigious Education Awards' and winners were announced across 25 categories. The awards where presented this year at an event which was held in Manchester. Following comments from the judges, Liverpool Business School (LBS) was awarded Business School of the Year for exemplifying transformative partnerships and innovative initiatives that bridge academic excellence with real-world impact. With a strong focus on inclusivity, leadership, and policy influence, the judges praised LBS for demonstrating exceptional regional, national, and global reach, setting new benchmarks and making a meaningful difference in education and business. Professor Adam Shore, Director of Liverpool Business School said: - “We’re so pleased to have won the Business School of the Year award. Over the past seven years, our focus has been on shaping a better future by engaging meaningfully with business and communities both locally and further afield. Through our research and community engagement, we’ve addressed important social, economic and environmental challenges and we’re delighted to have been recognised for the impact our work is having. LJMU’s Legal Advice Centre was also shortlisted for the:- Educate North Award: Community Engagement - University Sector for its Community Law Clinic, which is the 1st in the North West to offer pro-bono support to Windrush families and communities. LJMU was also pleased to sponsor 2 of the awards at the event, which saw Vice Chancellor, Professor Mark Power present the:- Lifetime Achievement Award to the prestigious poet and playwright:- Carol Ann Duffy, while Pro-Vice-Chancellor External Engagement and Partnerships, Dr Aileen Jones presented the:- Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Award to Hull College. Find out more about Liverpool Business School...
