Hugh Baird College GCSE Students Outperform National Average
GCSE students at Hugh Baird College have been celebrating as they collect their results and begin preparing for their next step.
After months of patiently waiting, students received results that allowed them to progress to either Further Education, an apprenticeship, Higher Education, or even their career. In the 16-18 age group, students at Hugh Baird College achieved outstanding results in GCSE Maths, with high grades surpassing the national average by an impressive 12.2 percentage points. For students aged:- 19 and above, the results are even more remarkable. GCSE Maths students in this age group performed 22.1 percentage points above the national average for high grades. The success story extends to GCSE English, where students aged 19 and over outperformed the national average by 10.7 percentage points in high grades. One of the many success stories at Hugh Baird College is that of Zahra Jafaripoor, an adult student from Mossley Hill who has achieved outstanding results in her GCSE English and Maths.
