Storm Dave - Amber Wind Warning
THE Yellow Wind Warning has been upgraded to Amber to 7 am, on Easter Sunday, 5 April 2026, as:- Storm Dave brings strong Southwesterly winds to the Region.
Storm Dave is expected to bring disruptive and potentially damaging winds gusts of:- 60 mph to 70 mph. The winds are creating dangerous conditions for drivers. Due to the wind, please expect longer journey times and cancellations are likely, as:- road, rail, air and ferry services may be affected. Please take extra care when driving, as some roads and bridges are likely to close. The public is also being strongly advised to keep away from the beaches due to large waves. Merseyrail have issued travel warnings and has told anyone using the network to keep an eye on the Merseyrail Journey Planner if travelling tonight or tomorrow.
