THE charity Ykids will be hosting the 4th Bootle Children’s Literary Festival this Autumn with an exciting program of events and activities across Bootle and North Liverpool.

2021 saw 35 Schools and 16,500 people participate in author workshops, competitions, book signings, theatrical performances, and events, and 2023 is set to be even bigger and better. At Ykids we are passionate about changing the lives of the children in and around Sefton. Education and especially reading, are really important factors in a child's life.

The Bootle Children's Literary Festival is 1 of the ways we hope to create and champion positive change for young people in Bootle and beyond. The Bootle Children’s Literary Festival works to bring together Schools and authors from across the region to read, write, and tell stories through books and creative expression. This exciting, educational, and entertaining festival will be taking place from the end of October 2023.

The Bootle Children’s Literary Festival website is available for all schools across the Liverpool City Region and schools can book their author/performer visit to School and/or a visit to:- Kingsley and Co Children’s Bookshop, in Bootle Strand Shopping Centre.
