HAVING been a fashion model for 4 years and coming across much prejudice within the fashion industry with a lack of inclusion, Debbie-Lyn Connolly Lloyd set out to take this issue on.

She told us that:- "I decided to take matters into my own hands and began Debbie-Lyn Apparel, an inclusive fashion brand. I began as an online seller, specializing in unapologetic fashion in sizes:- 8 to 28, and the concept has taken off so well that I am now opening my very own shop in the heart of Southport! Plus, I have begun a private VIP group, called:- “Unapologetic Community with Debbie-Lyn” to give opportunities to anyone in the local community who has faced adversity. The aim is to help them grow in confidence through the courses I'm now running. This is also backed up with the support I give them, and the platforms I can create for them within the fashion industry, through the contacts I have developed over the years."

When Debbie told us about this, we had to pop over to this amazing fashion business, located within Southport... She explained to us:- "I am holding a spectacular opening event on Saturday, 12 August 2023, at my new shop, within the stunning, historic Wayfarers Shopping Arcade, Lord Street, Southport. The event will run from:- 11 am to 5 pm. On the day, you will also discover the venue is hosting an art, craft, and gift fair, as well as the official opening of my boutique:- 'Debbie-Lyn Apparel!' There will be fashion shows taking place at:- 12 noon, 2 pm, and 4 pm, showcasing some gorgeous summer fashion, from the boutique, as well as hand-painted leather jackets, which I stock by:- 'GoGairy,' along with the amazing:- 'Funky Bags' by:- 'Daisy Amour.' On the day, I have 5 gorgeous models taking part in my fashion shows. Catherine Cox, Mia Pickett, Adele Bretherton, Tracey Maddock, Angie Sutcliffe, are all from my diverse selection of VIP members! We will also have the very talented:- 'Glammed By Paige' doing the models' makeup. Not only that, you can discover all the hidden local businesses within the Arcade, as all the cafes and other shops will be open too. Plus, I will have a few surprises as well."

We also know that Debbie will be holding another amazing event, in October 2023, with the support of both Miss England and Miss Liverpool City Region! These pageant queens will be collecting money for charity:- “Beauty With Purpose” and posing for pictures with guests! So ask Debbies opening for more information.
