Kathryn Dee, General Manager at Belong Birkdale, said:- “We are delighted to be sponsoring this year’s Comedy Bingo Winter Socials. Supporting communities and bringing people together is very much what Belong is all about, and so we’re pleased to assist in making this fantastic events programme happen for Sandgrounders. Our customers at sister Belong villages are looking forward to popping up to join the fun, and once Belong Birkdale opens later this year, we'll be supporting our new residents and tenants to come along too.”
Comedy Bingo Director Brendan Riley said:- “We’re pleased to be bringing Comedy Bingo Winter Socials back to Southport Market! We have a brand new sponsor on board with Belong Birkdale. We’re very grateful to them for supporting these events, which means that we can keep ticket prices as low as possible. We’re also grateful for our ongoing support from Sefton Council Tourism and the team at Southport Market. Admission is just £4 per person which includes a free hot or cold drink and all your bingo books. It’s a fabulous deal for a really fun afternoon out! All the market food and drink outlets will be open for anyone who fancies something to eat before, during or after the show. The days may be getting darker and colder so this is the perfect time to cheer everyone up with a fun afternoon of Comedy Bingo!"
Brendan continued:- “This is the 4th year we have held these events and the response has been superb. I have had lots of emails and Southport Market has had many messages from people asking when Comedy Bingo Winter Socials are coming back. We have a really loyal following of people who come to every one, and it’s always great to see lots of new faces too. Comedy Bingo is a really fun, entertaining and interactive event that can be played by anyone from 1 to 105! We get a real mix of people coming to our afternoons from pensioners, to young mums, families with kids, people on their own. We give a really warm welcome to everyone! Since the Covid pandemic, loneliness has been on the rise, and we wanted to create an event where everyone can come together in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and have a really enjoyable afternoon - who knows, you might win some great prizes too!”
