EASTHAM Country Park will once again come alive with music, laughter and community spirit as Glastonferry Music Festival returns for its 13th edition this August Bank Holiday weekend, on Saturday 23 August and Sunday 24 August 2025. The huge free festival features top quality live music, whilst raising vital funds for charity.
A staple of the local calendar, this legendary charity music festival is being organised by Chris Locke, who has passionately run the event for many years. What started as a local celebration has grown into a landmark community event, all in aid of an incredible cause — Claire House, a children’s cancer charity that provides vital care and support to seriously and terminally ill children and their families.
Over the years, Glastonferry has raised tens of thousands of pounds for Claire House, and 2025 promises to be no different. With 2 packed days of live performances, family-friendly fun and fundraising, it’s an event that brings the community together in the best possible way — through music and generosity.
Both The Eastham Ferry Hotel and The Eastham Ferry Tap will transform into live music hubs with large outdoor stages, where bands and solo acts will perform from day into night. The Glastonferry stage has always celebrated a mix of established names and rising stars from the local music scene. This year’s line-up includes:-
· Ragamuffin – Energetic 4-piece band
· Last Laugh Lane – Up-and-coming 5-piece young band
· Steve Doyle – Talented acoustic singer
· Hed Rot Chili Peppers – Funky tribute duo
· 3D – Dynamic trio with a big sound
· Anthony Young – Charismatic acoustic singer
· Ian Cowell – Frontman of Insanity Beach
· Paul Barker – Soulful acoustic performer
· Geoff Gerrard – Accomplished vocalist
· The Fo’s (TBC) – Duo from the band The Foundry
· Lords of Landican – Originals band with an edge
· Petra and Friends – Young band (all under 16s) showcasing future stars
· Alicia – Powerful female solo vocalist
· Creaking Gates – Crowd-pleasing band with a unique sound
· Because The Night — High-energy female fronted band
With more acts possibly to be announced, the weekend promises a diverse and exciting programme for all music tastes. In addition to the fantastic live music on display, there will also be a wide range of entertainment for all the family including things such as:-
· Outdoor BBQ
· Face painting
· Bouncy castle
· Games and activities for kids
· Stalls and surprises
Organiser Chris Locke said:- “It’s so great to bring Glastonferry back and it will be the 1st time in years that we’ve hosted it over both Eastham Ferry Hotel and The Tap venues. The festival has gone from strength to strength since we started it back in 2011 and we’ve raised tens of thousands of pounds for Claire House — we’re expecting another incredible event again this year!”
Whether you’re there for the tunes, the food, the family activities or to support an amazing cause — there’s something for everyone. Glastonferry is more than a music festival — it’s a celebration of community, compassion and creativity. So bring your friends, your family, and your dancing shoes to Eastham Country Park this August Bank Holiday weekend and be part of something truly special.
