Consultation: Ofcom publishes its proposed Plan of Work for 2024/25 About Ofcom

OFCOM has today published it's proposed:- 'Plan Of Work for 2024/25,' outlining our areas of work for the next financial year.
Ofcom is the UK's independent regulator and competition authority for the UK communications industries.
Its mission is to make communications work for everyone across the:- telecoms, broadcasting, post, spectrum, and online services; is more important than ever. Especially now, with the passage of the Online Safety Act in October 2023, helping to create a safer life online, represents the biggest change to Ofcom's duties in its 20 year history.
This plan outlines the regulator's priority outcomes and explains how they will work to meet these throughout:- 2024 to 2025.
In a press release, they said the plan covers:-
Internet we can rely on - fast and reliable connections and services for everyone, everywhere.
Media we trust and value - a wide range of high quality media and protection for audiences across the UK;
We live a safer life online – platforms are incentivized to reduce harm and make consumers safer.
Enabling wireless services in the wide economy- ensuring efficient use of spectrum and supporting growth across the economy.
They added:- "We welcome responses to our proposed Plan of Work by:- 5pm, on:- 9 February 2024. We will also be holding events in January in each nation to gain feedback on our proposed plan. We will publish our final plan in March 2024."
