Discover Your Local Royal British Legion
THE Royal British Legion is best known for the Poppy Appeal, but there's much more to the charity than many people realise. Throughout the year, local branches support veterans, serving members of the Armed Forces and their families, while also bringing people together through:- remembrance, friendship and community activities.
At the Formby Branch, we are always delighted to welcome new faces. You don't need a military background to become a member. In fact, membership is open to everyone. Whether you'd like to support the Armed Forces community, meet new people, lend a hand as a volunteer or simply learn more about what we do, we'd love to hear from you. Why not come along to the Formby Royal British Legion's:- Membership and Poppy Appeal Day, at Waitrose & Partners, Formby, on:- Saturday, 10 October 2026, starting at:- 10 am and running to:- 4 pm? There will be lots of military vehicles on display, and you can meet the friendly branch members who will be on hand to answer questions and chat about the many ways you can get involved. A Spokesperson for the RBL Branch said:- "Whether you're interested in becoming a member, volunteering your time or just finding out more about your local branch, you'll be assured of a warm welcome."
