THE award winning Tik Taco restaurant is bringing Mexican sunshine to the 2026 Southport Comedy Festival in association with Halliwell Jones Kia

Tik Taco will support this year’s event as both a catering partner and an event sponsor, with festival-goers able to savour their freshly-made tacos, loaded nachos, burritos, and hand-made sides.

Last year, Tik Taco was recognised as 1 of the very best food outlets in the Region as they were named a Restaurant of the Year Finalist in the 2025 Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards.

Owners Anthony and Emma Greenland have become familiar faces at festivals across the region, bringing their Tik Taco food trailer to Southport Flower Show, Southport Food & Drink Festival and more, while also operating their busy restaurant on Coronation Walk in Southport town centre.

With a menu that is 90% gluten free, alongside options for vegans, vegetarians, and other allergen-conscious customers, Tik Taco is committed to making high-quality street food accessible for everyone attending the festival.

The partnership reflects Tik Taco’s continued commitment to supporting local events, creating memorable experiences, and being an active part of the community. Alongside providing the food offering for attendees, the business has stepped forward as 1 of this year's sponsors.

Owner and Head Chef Anthony Greenland said:- “We love being involved in events that bring people together. Comedy, great food, and community spirit are a perfect combination for us. Supporting Southport Comedy Festival is something we’re really proud of.”

Southport Comedy Festival Director Brendan Riley said:- “We are really excited to welcome Tik Taco as our catering partner and as an event sponsor for this year’s Southport Comedy Festival! They offer freshly-made, authentic Mexican street food which is absolutely delicious - our festival-goers are going to love it! The Tik Taco restaurant is based on Coronation Walk, near the festival, so lots of our comedy-goers already book in for meals there before coming to our shows. They’re a big draw at events such as Southport Flower Show and Southport Food and Drink Festival, so we know they’ll be a big hit here too."

He continued:- "We’re really pleased that they cater so well for people who are gluten free, vegan or vegetarian too. This year we have 3 matinee shows in addition to our evening shows, and Tik Taco will be at them all. They perfectly complement the bar area and bar facilities provided by Elite Events, so if you’re coming to a show come down early, savour some delicious Mexican street food and some drinks, and make the most of the festival.”

With a strong reputation for festival catering, corporate events, and authentic Mexican food, Tik Taco continues to grow its presence across the Region while staying firmly connected to the local community in Southport.

This year’s Southport Comedy Festival line-up is now complete with a superb choice of comedians joining their landmark 15th anniversary celebrations, including Jason Manford, Jimeoin, Jason Byrne, Clinton Baptiste, Henning Wehn, Gary Delaney, Paul Sinha, Mike Wozniak, Scott Bennett, Laura Smyth, Seann Walsh, Paul Merton and Suki Webster, and Adam Kay.

The Southport Comedy Festival sponsored by Halliwell Jones Kia runs from:- 2 October to 18 October 2026, returning for the 6th consecutive year to its luxury, fully seated and heated Elite Events marquee in the scenic surroundings of Victoria Park, home of the world-famous Southport Flower Show.
