A beloved rural landmark is officially waking up from a 7 year slumber. The historic pub formerly known as The Red Squirrel is set to reopen its doors under an exciting new identity:- 'The Wild Roe.'

Breathing fresh life into the site is the experienced team behind the highly successful Murphy’s Tavern in Crosby Village. Known for their dedication to community centric hospitality, the team is completely transforming the venue into a premier destination for locals and visitors alike.

Set within 2 acres of idyllic countryside, The Wild Roe will marry traditional rural charm with a modern, high level service experience. At the heart of the reopening is an ambitious culinary relaunch featuring a strict:- "everything cooked fresh" food menu, with key ingredients sourced directly from local farms.

"It is great to see closed pubs being brought back to life and serving the community again," says Nicola Halton, Business Development Manager for Murphy’s Tavern. He added:- "The owners are local to the area and are passionate about delivering a pub that creates jobs and a community feel for people to enjoy. The new name for the site pays tribute to the much loved roe deer, which are often spotted in the local area too.”

What to Expect from The Wild Roe:-

ā—¸ Fresh, Hyper-Local Dining: A completely scratch-cooked menu prioritizing seasonal produce and partnerships with local agricultural suppliers.

ā—¸ Destination - 2 sprawling acres of countryside space, perfect for families, destination diners, and community gatherings.

ā—¸ Experienced Leadership: Backed by the proven track record of the Murphy’s Tavern team, ensuring exceptional service standards from day 1.

While an official opening date and specific hours will be unveiled soon, the community is invited to follow the journey and catch behind the scenes previews online of the site being brought back to life.
