A brand new jewellery workshop will soon be unveiled on Lord Street in Southport.
The family-run business, backed by many years of experience, will launch an exciting new concept carrying out all jewellery repairs as well as watch repairs.
It will offer the ability to carry out most repairs and services on-site by a team of skilled craftspeople within just an hour.
They are specialists in melting customers’ gold and making beautiful bespoke pieces, including wedding rings, engagement rings and more.
People will be able to have their watches repaired, as well as buying new watch batteries or watch straps, or having watch links fitted or shortened while you wait.
It includes watch servicing on luxury Swiss watches, with brands including AP, Omega, Tag Heuer, Breitling , Cartier etc.
The new venture will be open 7 days a week, bringing further vitality to Lord Street, which has seen a series of new businesses opening in recent months.
Building work is already taking place at 321 Lord Street in the unit previously occupied by Lapel Menswear, which recently moved into nearby Wayfarers Arcade.
The transformation is being carried out by Nicholas Interiors Ltd, a local business based in Crosby.
The owners of the new jewellery workshop said:- “We are very excited to be bringing a brand new concept to the heart of Lord Street. With most jewellery repairs, people have to wait 3 days or more until they get their jewellery back - often the pieces are sent away somewhere else to be done. We want to offer a fast, efficient service on-site within just 1 hour by our skilled team. We offer a full CAD design service with bespoke jewellery making. If you have some old jewellery and you’d like to create something new, special and meaningful from it, then we can work closely with you to do that."
They continued:- “We are pleased to see Lapel Menswear, 1 of the longest-established businesses on Lord Street, now operating successfully from Wayfarers Arcade. As soon as their unit on Lord Street became available we reacted to the opportunity immediately. It’s in the perfect location on the iconic Lord Street boulevard, which is seeing a real resurgence with some exciting new events along with investment into the Town Hall Gardens, The Garrick and a number of new businesses."
The owners of the new jewellery workshop have revealed they are aiming for a provisional opening in mid-April, with hopes of welcoming their first customers shortly after Easter.
In the coming weeks, they plan to share further details about what the workshop will offer, along with the official name of the business and a confirmed launch date. For now, they are encouraging the community to keep an eye out for updates — promising that more exciting news is on the way.
