Free InvestSefton events to help local businesses make the most of Southport’s big year

AS Southport gears up for an unforgettable 2026, packed with cultural events, InvestSefton is running a number of free events to ensure local businesses are ready to make the most of it.

They are designed to help businesses create memorable experiences for customers, to use social media and marketing effectively and to deliver top-level customer service.

Each of the free workshops will take place at Eastbank (The Enterprise Arcade), Southport. There are 2 sessions running from 10am to 12 noon, or from 6pm to 8pm.

Free tickets available

Tickets are still available for the 1st of the 3 workshops, Developing an Experience, which is on:- Monday, 24 November 2025.

The 2nd, Social Media & Marketing will take place on:- Tuesday, 13 January 2026 and the final 1, Next Level Customer Experience will be on:- Monday, 19 January 2026.

Cllr Paulette Lappin, Sefton Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Economy and Skills said-: “Next year is going to be so exciting for Southport, with events like the LightPort in February, the Cristal Palace in April and May’s Big Top festival taking place in the town. Sefton Council want to make sure local businesses are in the best position to make the most of all the opportunities this programme of new cultural events will offer. We always receive so much positive feedback about events and workshops organised by InvestSefton, so I would recommend local businesses sign up for these free sessions today.”
