Please help by signing a letter: for the - All or Nothing' report campaign
SADLY, when things go wrong the system is still broken in the UK and 36 years on since Hillsborough, the families of those who have suffered at the hands of the state should be able to make the case better than anyone that a new Law is sill required. Sadly, they need you help still to get the Government to fix the system.
To do this they are asking everyone ask there MP to read the @INQUEST_ORG "all or nothing" report by sending them a letter via a few clicks of the keyboard. This is not about what football team you support, it's about making sure that we never have the same issues that the Hillsborough families have faced ever again. Please sign by visiting:- ActionNetwork.Org. The letter they are asking everyone to send reads:- "I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to you about the Hillsborough Law, which the Prime Minister promised would be introduced to Parliament by the anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster on the 15 April. The Hillsborough Law is a vital piece of legislation that means a huge amount to me and those who have been victims of state failures, lies and cover ups. However, as you may know, the Government has delayed introducing the legislation. As outlined by the "All or nothing" report, published earlier today by the charity INQUEST, in collaboration with families campaigning in the Hillsborough Law Now campaign coalition, a Hillsborough Law needs to be all or nothing. The law will not deliver truth, justice or accountability if it doesn't include a duty of candour compelling public authorities, bodies and officials to tell the truth about what went wrong, and parity of legal arms so that ordinary people are able to hold power to account when they have been harmed. Without these measures justice is habitually delayed and denied to families. Over 35 years on from the Hillsborough Disaster, justice is once again being delayed to Hillsborough families and everyone else who has been unfortunate enough to have suffered at the hands of the state, only to have to fight for decades for truth, justice and accountability. We need your support to make sure the Hillsborough Law is deserving of its name.
