Will possession of Laughing Gas work?
THE rules on possession of nitrous oxide for 'misuse' are to be made tighter. The possession of the gas will soon be made a criminal offense despite recommendations against the move by the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs (ACMD)
The evidence of just how often nitrous oxide is used can be seen clearly. A quick look around you will often show the discarded metal canisters that have become a common sight, dumped on the ground within our parks and on roads all over the country. This is because the gas, often referred to as NOS, is now 1 of the most used drugs in the UK for:- 16 to 24 year olds. Quite how this ban will affect the distribution and its popularity is yet to be seen. What are your thoughts on the issue? Please do email our newsroom with your views on this issue.
