19 year old Ellis Cox 19, was fatally shot on:- Sunday, 23 June 2024, at the Liver Industrial Estate and Merseyside Police continue to appeal for anyone with information to come forward. We are told that 2 males were later arrested in connection to murder.
The family of Ellis Cox have today issued a new tribute to the media via Merseyside Police. The family in the tribute said:- "It's been almost seven weeks since Ellis was cruelly taken from us. Seven weeks of not laughing with him, talking to him or hearing him sing in the shower. The pain and loss of our beautiful Ellis is immeasurable and as a family, we are still traumatised as we try and get through one more day without him. Each day that passes not only does our sadness grow our anger grows too. Knowing that whoever took him from us is still chatting with their families, enjoying a pint in the pub maybe and enjoying the sunshine just simply getting on with their lives. No normal person could live with themselves but it seems they are not normal but are their families, their mum, dad, siblings? We have to pray that they are and that with each hour that passes, they realise they cannot stay silent and come forward. We know our children. We know when there is a change in them. We know if they are hiding and still silence. There is nothing fair or normal about this situation and for our family the things we have seen, heard, and had to deal with no family should have to go through. The pride we feel Ellis won't get to feel the sun on his face or enjoy a pint with his family or watch his cousins and nieces grow. We need your help. We beg you to do the right thing and speak up. All we can do now for him is find those responsible and bring them to justice. We have every faith in the police as they continue to work hard to bring those responsible to justice. If you have seen or heard anything in the last seven weeks no matter how significant you might think it is please let the Police be the judge of that."
