LOVE Your Garden and ITV This Morning resident gardener David Domoney will be joining at next year’s 100th anniversary Southport Flower show on Saturday, 17 August 2024.

David has over 40 years’ experience in horticulture and 20 of these have been spent on national television. Having become a household name, not only is he a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Horticulture, he’s a decorated garden designer and the mastermind behind UK-wide gardening competitions, such as Cultivation Street and Young Gardeners of the Year.

With a collection of 35 Royal Horticultural Society medals to his name, including Best in Category and Chelsea Gold awards, David was selected by HRH Prince Edward to receive the Award for Excellence in Horticultural Career Development in recognition of his outstanding accomplishments.

Alan Adams, General Manager said:- “David is our 1st special guest of many signed up for next year’s show. We know David is a real hit with our visitors and can’t wait to welcome him back to next year’s show which is going to be a real horticultural extravaganza. For next year’s show, we have partnered with multi award winning Holden Clough Nurseries and are very excited to be working with them to develop the horticultural elements of the show.”

John Foley, owner of Holden Clough Nurseries said:- “We are honoured to be supporting The Southport Flower Show. The nursery has been associated with the show since the 1920’s and we look forward to investing in the future of this very special happening. It’s a chance to share our expertise and work together to attract more show gardens and professional nurseries, whilst also looking at different ways in which we can educate and encourage gardeners, new and old alike.”

The next year’s 100th anniversary Southport Flower Show will run between 15 and 18 August 2024, so make sure you save the dates. Keep your eyes peeled for more exciting announcements on their Southport Flower Show website and social media channels.
