Once again, the festival will feature over 60 of the Region’s finest authors signing and selling their books directly to book lovers, publishers, celebrity special guests, talks, workshops, live music, artisan stalls, street food, cosplay characters, children’s activities and more! After the success of the first event, the next 1 is set to be even bigger and better.
This 2nd event will feature more celebrity special guests who will also be giving talks including — Comedy greats Stan Boardman & Ricky Tomlinson, legendary entertainer Asa Murphy, activist and viral YouTuber Shaun Attwood, renowned hypnotist Alan Bates, Marvel’s Tim Quinn & Alan Cowsill, The Beano’s Nigel Parkinson, The Walking Dead Illustrator Charlie Adlard and poet Keith Wilson.

Meanwhile, the other charity that will benefit is Y Kids — a fantastic organisation in Bootle that gives children in the area more opportunities.

Organiser Justin Hopper from La Vida Liverpool magazine said:- “The inaugural Liverpool Book Festival was an incredible success and was covered by the BBC News! It’s also a Finalist of the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards. I’m really excited to go even bigger this time with more amazing special guests and new additions such as cosplay characters, more children’s activities and VIP tickets for those wanting an elevated experience and access to special guest talks.”
He continued:- “The feedback from the first event was unreal and it was enjoyed by all guests, authors, publishers, traders and performers. Once again, it’s important for me to keep it accessible and affordable for all so ticket prices are remaining low — with freebies added in that negate the cost of them. This event will now take place twice a year too — with some new faces each time and exciting new features at each event!”
