THE Harrison’s Foundation are collecting new toys and cash donations in the run-up to Christmas again this year and every donation is being matched by the business. So if you drop a toy into 1 of their venues the local independent will match it with another toy. Or if you donate, say £10 on go fund me, this will also be matched.

The appeal has started now and runs until:- Wednesday, 18 December 2024. All the toys that come in will be given to several different local charities:- including the Kirkby Toy Appeal, Southdene Community Centre and L30 Community Centre.

It’s the Harrisons Bar Group ( Abbey Road Bar & Kitchen, Harrisons Bar & Kitchen, Dwntwn, Scruffy Murphy & Scruffy Murphy Mathew Street as well as the Jawbone Tavern) latest effort to support community groups.

Nicola Halton Head of Business Development at Harrisons Bar Group said:- “All our venues Harrison’s Bar and Kitchen, Abbey Road Bar & Kitchen, Dwntwn, 2 Scruffy Murphy sites and the new venue the Jawbone Tavern are community pubs/bars. We are a big part of the local community and things over the last few years have not improved for a lot of people in terms of standards of living. Wages are just not keeping up with the cost of living and us as well as a lot of our generous customers like to give back, especially at Christmas time. We have set up two options to support this cause. The money option via GoFundMe, as some people don't have the time to call down with toys. We will use this money, matched by us, to purchase toys. The other option, as always, is to drop off a toy or indeed some toys at any of our sites.”
