IN Southport, Merseyside, on the roads around the crime scene where 3 young girls who have since died have been seeing large members of flowers being laid. Also, in the Town Centre, a growing number of flowers and toys are being laid where the vigil was held. But what you do not see is the volunteers who are helping to keep them in good condition. Also, many of the locations now have buckets and other items donated by local businesses and members of the public to help to maintain them.

Also, helping at the locations are a range of community support groups and organizations, like these response pastors, who are offering support to those affected by recent fatal stabbings and the violent riots that followed.

This is the true community of Southport and how locals are really responding to the stress, anxiety and depression, the recent the seaside resort is currently dealing with.

These individuals are doing an amazing job, and we wanted to highlight them, as they are showing Southport's true colours at this time of grieving and are setting an amazing example to us all.

Sefton Council has said on X (Twitter) today:- "It's heart warming to see the amount of tributes left in the memory of Bebe, Elsie, and Alice. These will be left for as long as possible, but we would like to hear community ideas on what should be done with these tributes once they need to be collected. Please let us know."
