Alder Hey Children's Hospital is currenly experiencing high patient levels and Parking issues

LIVERPOOL'S Alder Hey Children's Hospital is currently experiencing high patient levels, especially in A&E, due to seasonal pressures (like winter viruses), rising complex cases (like measles), and general demand, leading to longer waits.
The Hospital are have issied this statement:- "We are encouraging the public to only attend the Hospital in case of emergency. to help you make the right decision, please use the 111 service, online, or by calling:- 111. If you think you need medical help right now, 111 online can tell you what to do next. Also the Alder Hey Children's Hospital website has an online:- 'symptom checker' tool you can use to assist you. To access this, please visit:- AlderHey.NHS.UK."
Alder Hey’s Emergency Department are also reminding Visitors that a new temporary car park is in operation whilst they build a new:- 'Emergency Department Car Park.' Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust has added that:- "You can access the new car park by turning right immediately after you approach the:- Emergency Department entrance off:- Eaton Road. A dedicated:- 'Drop-Off Area' for quick access to the:- Emergency Department has been established on the:- 'Blue Light Route.' The closure of the car park is essential to allow us to complete building work for our new Surgical Neonatal ICU and the enhanced Emergency Services building, as well as a new permanent:-'Emergency Department Car Park,' scheduled for completion in Spring 2026."
It is worth adding that most UK Hospitals are busy across the country and high levels of attendance are experienced, so please use the:- 111 Service when possible, for non-emergencies, to manage the flow and ensure urgent cases.
