AN entrepreneur from Wirral is celebrating 10 years of success through her unique wellington boot business. Verity Smith founded Wide Welly Company in 2015, offering quirky and stylish boots to people who struggle to find wellies that fit at the calf, and has supplied tens of thousands of boots to people throughout the UK and Europe.

Running a large scale operation single handedly from her warehouse in:- Hoylake, Verity, has been:- 'giving it some welly' for 10 years with her interesting concept. She supplies functional and stylish wellington boots with adjustable straps to people who struggle fitting into standard size boots and has become a market leader in this niche industry.

Verity's evolving range features some fascinating designs; such as:- paw print, purple polka dots, stars, fish, orange and octopus designs. Meanwhile, the new ankle wellies are becoming a big trend and they will soon be available in various colours. Such is the quality of her boots, Verity's Wide Welly Company is becoming a huge brand.

Despite being a predominantly e-brand, Verity prides herself on providing a very personal service. Unlike large corporations, she gift wraps boots for her customers personally and includes a heartfelt handwritten note in each box. From the Scottish Highlands to the Cornish countryside, her wellies are being enjoyed by countless:- nature lovers, dog walkers, farmers, horse riders and explorers throughout the UK.

Verity said:- "I have a background in manufacturing and logistics; with an obsession for quality control and continuous improvement. I became aware of the demand for wide calf boots and wellingtons back in 2011, but it wasn't until 2015 that WWC was launched with a friend over coffee at:- The Air Balloon Pub, in Birdlip! Whilst I am now solo in the business, the product I retail today is very different to the one that we originally launched with. I've consistently used customer experience and feedback to develop the wellies. And there's still more to do. What started as a simple idea is now a big operation; with boots delivered throughout the UK and Europe. The winter months are really busy, and I work hard to keep orders flowing out, but I still make sure I offer a personal service and provide a personalised handwritten note in every box. The feedback is amazing and people love them; it's crazy to think 10s of thousand of people are walking around in my boots!"

Whilst wide wellies are the main offering from Wide Welly Company, Verity also helps other independents by stocking their fashion items. On the Wide Welly Company website you'll also find socks, bobble hats, hand warmers, hot water bottles and more to help you get through the darker, colder and muddier months.
